John Hoffman

Hoffman, John Edwin of Webster Groves passed away September 30, 2016 at the age of 67 after complications in his treatment for cancer. Beloved husband of Christine M. Hoffman (nee Rimat) for 45 years; dearest father of Matthew Hoffman, Stephanie (Bill) Decker and Pamela (Brian) Speis; loving grandfather of Noah and Madelyn Decker.

He was born in St. Louis, the dear son of Alton R. Hoffman and Edith L. Hoffman (nee Mordica) and grew up in Crestwood with brothers Jim, Steve and Phil Hoffman. John attended Lindbergh High School and Meramec Community College where he met his wife. He served Missouri and the United States in the Air National Guard with the 121st Tactical Control Squadron and the 131st Communications Flight, from which he retired having earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

SERVICE: A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Gerber Chapel, 23 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, MO. Visitation prior to the service at 1:00 pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
