Leah, Patrick, and the Perez Family:  Please accept Sabra and my condolences.  I always enjoyed talking to Mr. Perez about St. Louis history, the Cardinals, and about his life.  What a wonderful, intelligent, and compassionate man. Although I only met him in the autumn of his life, I feel richer for having done so.  You all will be in our thoughts.

Although I did not know Mr. Perez well, it was obvious from the testimony given at the funeral that this gentleman was truly a great man. His legacy is manifest in his progeny and unfailing good works. Simply put, he made the world a better place.

I remember Mr Perez most because of his love of sports.  I remember him trying to watch Cardinal games while a dozen children were running around in front of him.  I remember him being very tolerant when Pete got a huge Great Dane dog. He was always happy to say "hi" to anyone who came in the Sunnyside front door.  My favoritem memory is when Mr Perez, Pete, Dave and I went to a Blues v Montreal hockey game.  He sure seemed to enjoy that!  He was a wonderful man and I am a better person for having met him.  We will all miss him.

My sympathy on the passing of Johnson.  I will always remember him as a soft spoken gentleman and proud family man.

I was sorry to read about Mr. Perez.  I know he had been sick for quite a while. I know it's a huge loss for all of you but know he is at peace.

My heart goes out to you all.  I was so upset to read about Johnson this morning.  We all know he is in a better place, but it will be hard for a while and difficult.  Be thankful for the wonderful husband and father he was...I consider myself blessed that I grew up knowing him.
