Mrs. Opal Schaefer

SCHAEFER, Opal E. (nee Prewett) 91, of Webster Groves on Saturday, March 03, 2012. Loving wife of 69 years to Harold E. Schafer Sr.; beloved mother of Christie (George) Brooks and the late Harold E. Schaefer, Jr.; dear grandmother of Matthew Brooks; dear sister-in-law of Edward (Loretta) Schaefer; dear aunt and friend to many.

Opal was a long time resident of Webster Groves. She and Harold operated for many years Schaefer Ranch Market. She was a member of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. She loved to play tennis and golf. Besides her passion for her family, she loved cooking for family and friends.

SERVICES: Memorial service 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2011, Webster Groves Presbyterian Church, 45 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves. Interment Private. If desired contributions in memory may be made to Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Fund, 9645 Big Bend Blvd., Oakland, MO 63122.
