

Alicia Bourque Bryant, 46, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. Born on March 9, 1980, in Welsh, Louisiana, Alicia lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, and an unwavering love for those around her.
A graduate of Welsh High School, Alicia continued her education at McNeese State University before dedicating her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. Her nurturing spirit and gentle heart made a lasting impact on countless patients, friends, and family members.
Alicia found great joy in traveling and had a deep love for animals. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her kind heart, and her beautiful spirit. Those fortunate enough to know her were blessed by her warmth, generosity, and the genuine love she shared so freely.
She is survived by her loving fiancé, Jimmy Edmunds; her parents, Herschel Lee Bourque and Wanda “Lou” Bourque; her son, Robert “Kale” Bryant; her daughter, Kaylee Bryant Sabelhaus; her sister, Christy Bourque LeJeune; her grandchildren, Percy Daniel Bryant and Parker Norman Bryant; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Joshua Raymond Bryant; her grandparents, Maxim and Juanita Bourque and James Edgar and Eugenia Walker; her aunts and uncles, Genny and Lubert Fontenot, Brenda and Larry Lasha, Ronald “Pee-Wee” Bourque, Hugh Ed Walker, Sam and Janice Sexton, Wayne Walker, and Carl Walker.
The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 12 PM until time of funeral service officiated by Bro. Pat Deshotel at 3pm.
