Alvin W. Stanley

Mr. Stanley was a humble man of few words. His love of nature was expressed through hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a giving person of his time and talents in the community. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Amy Dupont Stanley.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Vanicor Stanley; sons, Christopher Stanley and wife, Katina, Scott Stanley and wife, Cheree and Aaron Stanley and wife, Danielle; sister, Earline Deshotel, 6 grandchildren Jaimi Elizabeth, Jules, Morgan, Caroline and twins, Carter and Jackson.

His funeral will be at 2pm, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. The Rev. Pat Deshotel will officiate. Visitation will begin Friday 4pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm and resume Saturday 8am until time of service. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
