Audrey Marie Louviere, 91, of Welsh, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Brookdale in Lake Charles. She was born to her late parents, Edmar and Aimie Sensat on August 22, 1930, in Egan, LA. She was an active member at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, where she served as an Eucharistic Minister, member of the Catholic Daughters, and also was a part of the Church Choir. She worked for Welsh Elementary as a teacher's assistant. Audrey was an amazing seamstress and cook, and loved working in her yard. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and going to Flora Bama to listen to music.
She leaves behind her four daughters, Brenda King and husband Tony, Debbie Menard and husband Dwight, Janet Roth and husband Alan, and Pamela Watkins and husband Marshall; three sisters, Mildred Mallett of Texas, Della Rausch of Lake Charles, Betty Wilson of Jackson, MS; son in law, Michael Schexnider; along with thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and one on the way.
Audrey is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Robert "Bobby" Louviere; one daughter, Angie Schexnider; three sisters, Dot Broussard, Gen Clay, Lois Duffy; two brothers, Duffy Sensat, Herman Sensat; and one granddaughter, Karen Schexnider.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 10:30am, with Father Whitney Miller officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm, led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, from 8:30am until the procession to the church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery.
