

Hayes - Audrey "Put" F. Primeaux, 75, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her children.
She was a graduate of Welsh High School, a resident of Hayes and a member of First Baptist Church of Hayes. Put worked for and retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 33 years of service. Her hobbies included quilting and traveling. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She was especially known for her homemade bread. Put was also a well trusted person by the French speaking people in her community, whom she translated for them their daily business affairs.
She is survived by her son, Dwight Primeaux and wife Pam of Hayes, LA; daughters, Dr. Debbie Williamson and husband Stan of Livingston, AL; Dana Hoffpauir and husband Neal "Cedo" of Hayes, LA; Denise Brown and husband Chad of Patterson, GA; Darlene Melanson and husband Rob of Lacassine, LA; brother, Herbert Fusilier; sisters, Ethel Corbello and Sophie Alexander; grandchildren, Brittney Dossman, Courtney, Mark and Nathan Williamson, Joe and John Paul Primeaux, Jake Brown and Allie and Abbie Melanson and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn "L.J." Primeaux; parents, Ellien and Lucy Pomier Fusilier, brothers, Glenn Fusilier, Jack Fusilier, Leroy Fusilier and Ivan "Red" Fusilier.

Her services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Pastor Gil Broussard will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Hayes Cemetery.
