Bryan Wade McClelland

Bryan Wade McClelland 20, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was born on May 13, 1999 in Lake Charles. Bryan absolutely enjoyed fried chicken and chocolate, especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and loved the Christmas Holidays. He had fun joking with people and loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Tammy McClelland and Papa Anthony Benoit of Iowa; two brothers, Tim McClelland of Iowa, Logan Pate of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandparents, Nolan and Nelda Abshire of Iowa, Joseph McClelland of Lake Charles; aunts, Christina McClelland of Lake Charles, Jennifer Rhorer of Fenton; aunt and uncle, Roland and Sarah Abshire of Iowa; and Destiny Gaspard of Cameron.

Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Matthew McClelland; sister, Rebecca Fuselier; paternal grandmother, Glenda McClelland; along with his godmother, Dori Taylor.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 1:00pm, with Deacon Roy Nash officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:30pm led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Broussard Cemetery in Lacassine. I am really going to miss you Brian. You brought so much excitement to the home. It's going to be hard coming to work and your not there in the window waiting for me to come into the building. You had a nickname for everyone and I will always remember you calling me " Hey DP" as I close in tears Thanks for singing me Happy Birthday you always made me feel like I was doing a good job. I'm going to miss you 💚💚 My condolences your family they definitely lost a jewel.

I felt unbelievable, overwhelming love and joy in my heart and Soul when I saw you for the frist time ! You had a head full of hair and the blues eye that just caught my heart and made time stand still ! I got to hold you for a while in my arms I immediately told you Bryan I loved you and you was beautiful! When I first held you, I just cried and could not take my eyes off of you! There is no comparison and you can't really describe it. You just have to wait and feel it for yourself. I know in my heart and soul that you were a gift from God and that he in trusted us with you Son . You feel No more pain you are in peace with God who will Direct your every step and will be your
Vindicator! (God is all we need)

The first time I ever took him to church with me, he was 2 yrs old. They was a lady bringing her baby to the nursery, and the door was in slow closing kind. He saw the door open and hollered, "shut the door!" Right in the middle of the sermon. I was waiting for him to continue... the air condition is on...
