My sympathy goes out to all of the Calvin Boudreaux's family. I will miss my brother for many reasons. He was a wonderful, fun loving man. He always tried to look at the bright side of life. He was funny and loved a great time, especially on the dance floor, with Cajun music playing in the background. I have a video of us dancing at our last family reunion and will treasure that always. I will miss him when the Saints and the Packers play, and our big $5.00 bets on those games. Think we wound up pretty even over all those years. May all of your memories of him help you during this difficult time. My love and Prayers to all of you.

To the family of Mr. Calvin Joseph Boudreaux

Calvin J. Boudreaux was a Cajun Gentleman. Calvin and his wife Kathleen owned a sweet potato farm in Southern Louisiana. Their days were filled with farming the land and living so close to it. When harvest came they would take their young children to the field with them and sat them under the wagon as they harvested the sweet potatoes by hand.

They worked through blazing heat of Louisiana summers, hurricanes and droughts. While they never wanted for anything they never asked for a thing. Calvin made his way through life with his sharp wit, intuition, the muscle in his arms, Kathleen’s love and an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

The beauty of their lives together is they passed on their love, work ethic, moral rudder and faith to their children without fail. They must have understood it was their responsibility.

Today our society wonders how we make our country great. Politicians, businessmen nor even clergy cant do it. Simply put men like Calvin and his wife Kathleen make our country great. They take full responsibility asking for nothing but rather hammering out a traditional way of life and all the time passing this on to their children.

Calvin left us to be with Our Lord a day or so ago. Leaving two exceptional children and numerous grand children and great grand children. God gave me a gift when I met this family and that gift was their Love and example on living a good life.

Rest in peace Mr. Boudreaux…may your journey be one of joy, God’s Speed and may you prosper on your way.
