On June 26, 1965, Carol married the love of her life, Harry Lee Allemand, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community.
Carol dedicated many years subbing in the cafeteria and classrooms at Welsh High School, where she took great pride in serving students until her own children graduated. Her presence was also a familiar and welcoming sight on Friday nights, as she faithfully worked the ticket gate at home football games until her grandchildren completed their school years.
A devoted member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Carol served in many roles throughout the years and retired around 2019 as the records clerk. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a member of the OLSD Catholic Daughters for over 40 years and served as an officer in 1991. Carol also shared her voice as a member of the church choir for more than 20 years. In recognition of her dedication and service to the Catholic Church, she was honored with admittance into the Ladies of the Order of Pope Saint Sylvester on September 12, 2004.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Pam Yeates and husband Sam, Sharon Allemand and companion Mike Estelle, and Karen Peacock and husband Kevin; her grandchildren, Turner Yeates and companion Logan Broussard, Devon Guillory and wife Crystal, Lynzie Yeates Herndon and husband Trey, Kristyn Peacock Pierce and husband Matt, Derrek Guillory, Kyle Peacock, Dustin Guillory, and Kaylee Peacock; and her great-grandchildren, Pierce Herndon, Gretchen Herndon, Adalyda Herndon, Kai Guillory, EmmyLou Herndon, and Kamila Guillory. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, JoAnn Allemand Benoit, Erline Landry Pierce, and Nancy Kim Pierce Mouton along with her nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Lee Allemand; her parents, James and Beaulah Pierce; and her brothers, Melvin Pierce, Gary Pierce, and Sam Pierce.
