Cheryl Oliver Fontenot

Cheryl was a lifelong resident of Welsh where she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Seven Dolors where she was a member of the choir, a Catholic Daughter, a RCIA instructor, a CCD teacher, and active in Faith Renewal. She held a license in cosmetology, floristry and nursing. She was a great home cook and loved to share a meal with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Clyde "Jim" Fontenot of Welsh; three children, Rachel Nevils of Welsh, Eric Fontenot and wife Racquel of Welsh and Jeremy Fontenot and husband Kyle Keenan of Detroit, MI.; six grandchildren, Devin Fontenot, Dylan Fontenot, Jacob Nevils, Lauren Fontenot, Elizabeth Nevils, and Katy Nevils; two great grandchildren, Anniston Rose Fontenot and Carter James Fontenot and one soon to be born, James Scott Nevils; brother, Michael Oliver of Youngsville; sister, Lottie Gass of Mittie.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Oliver.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
