Christine Bertrand

Christine was an amazing wife, mother, sister, nanny, and friend. She was the hardest working woman who gave her life to serve the Lord in all capacities. She enjoyed being outdoors, cast netting at the Reserves, gardening, making crafts, and taking care of her dogs. Chris was her husband's best friend and soul mate. She will be honored and remembered by all who knew her.

Chris would not want anyone to mourn for her but instead rejoice for her journey Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Mae Lavergne, a brother, Larry Lavergne, and a sister, Sue Lavergne.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are husband of 34 years, John Bertrand of Jennings, LA;. son, Peter Bertrand of Jennings, LA; three brothers, Joseph Lavergne and wife, Lynn of Bordelonville, LA, Terry Lavergne of Roanoke, LA, and Lawrence Lavergne of Jennings; six sisters, Wilda Seanz of Florida, Delores Bourque and husband, Russell of Church Point, Nora Breaux and husband, Gladie, and Janelle Lavergne both of Rayne, LA, Melanie Bourque of Duson, LA, and Catherine Alleman of Rayne, LA; numerous nieces nephews and cousins; and a host of church family and friends.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Christine will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at The Pentecostals of Lafayette. Burial will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Green Oaks Memorial Park, 9595 FLORIDA BLVD, BATON ROUGE, Louisiana 70815-1126. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
