

She was born December 9, 1946, and raised in Roanoke, Louisiana, Cindy married Jimmy Breaux on March 13, 1965. Together, they shared more than 61 years of marriage and raised four daughters.
Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the way she always put others first. She had a remarkable ability to make each person feel important and loved—as though, in that moment, they were the center of her universe. Her impact extended beyond her family to friends and throughout her community, including through her career of nearly five decades in banking.
A devout Catholic, Cindy’s faith was an important part of her life and could be seen in the kindness and care she showed others.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Peggy Kratzer; her brothers, Jerry and Larry Kratzer; and her sister, Phayla Kratzer.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Breaux; daughters, Mandy Gray (April), Christi Reeves (Fred), Julie Cassidy (Ken), and Jackie Marceaux (Dennis); grandchildren, Meagan, Alex, Max, Nick, Kasey, Conner, and Thomas; four great-grandchildren; and her brother, Craig Kratzer. She is also survived by her honorary daughters, Mona Daigle and Lorinda Roberie, and honorary grandchildren, Shelby and Sam.
Cindy will be deeply missed and remembered for the love she gave so freely and the many lives she touched along the way.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School 600 Robert's Ave. Jennings, LA 70546.
The family requests visiting hours be observed at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM, with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at Our Lady Help of Christians in Jennings on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 10:00 AM until time of mass at 11:00 AM.
