David was born on November 14, 1957, in Jennings, Louisiana, to Owen Alfred Dupont and Shirley Mae Robinson Dupont.
David was a great brother & proud uncle, and devoted friend. He enjoyed helping in the kitchen, especially stirring the pot while meals were being prepared, and loved going for rides anytime a vehicle moved. David took pride in working and earning money to purchase things he enjoyed, including new gloves and another Coke.
A faithful member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, he enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics, watching his favorite DVDs, and coloring.
David treasured his time at Nichols Street Group Home and enjoyed working with Preferred Living, Inc. He formed many lasting friendships and was deeply loved by those who knew and cared for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Alfred and Shirley Mae Robinson Dupont; his brother, John Dupont; and his nephew, Steven Dupont.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Elbert (Brenda) Dupont of Nevada, Charles (Brenda) Dupont of Milton, Louisiana, Jane (Tim) Donahoe of Roanoke, Louisiana, and Susan (Tony) Cappuccitti of New York; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
