Dolores was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, sewing, and raising her children and grandchildren. She started working as a bookkeeper at a local bank when she was 18 years old. During her time in Fenton, she Owned and Operated a Cafe' and Gas Station, Dee's. After retirement Dolores spent her time babysitting grandchildren and other children in the community. She was loved by all who met her, and will be missed greatly.
She is preceded in death by her sons, Steve Bradley and Mike Bradley, husbands, Fred Bradley and F. G. Lawrence, parents, Etienne and Lucille Bourgeois, sister, Thelma Byerly, brother, James Bourgeois, and son-in-law, Tim Hebert of Lake Charles.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are two sons, David Bradley and wife, Gail of Welsh, and Kenneth Lawrence and wife, Melissa of Welsh; two daughters, Ann Hebert of Lake Charles, and Angie LeGros and husband, Lasson of Roanoke, La; two sister, Marjorie Cheaney of Bokeelia, FL, and Gloria Mattern of New Orleans; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in Welsh, La. Rev. Angela Bulhof will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, La. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh, and will resume at 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
