Emelda "Lou" Touchet, 86, of Welsh, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was born to her late parents, Louis and Ada Pellegrin Robicheaux on November 25, 1933 in Chauvin, LA. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, listening to music, and loved to party in her later years. Lou worked hard in her younger years, and never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling, and loved going to the Casinos. Most of all, she loved her family and would do anything she could for them.
She is survived by her 3 children, Sheila Hanks of Welsh, Spencer Boudreaux and wife Ruth of Scott, Steve Boudreaux and wife Diane of Welsh; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; along with 6 great-great grandchildren.
Lou is preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Roger Hanks; two brothers, Bagley Robicheaux and Elgin Robicheaux.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Lou will be Michael Hanks, Mark Hanks, Hunter Bradley, Michael Kuehn, Michael Lasalle, and Bradley Boudreaux.
Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 10:00am, with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Monday, October 5, 2020, from 2:00pm until 9:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm, led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 8:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
