Essie Mae Prudhomme

She was a native and lifelong resident of Welsh. Essie was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Alexander Prudhomme of Welsh; three sons, Alexander Prudhomme III of Welsh, Larry Prudhomme and wife Debra of LeBleu Settlement and Michael Prudhomme and wife Tracie of Welsh; four daughters, Frances Victorian and Bernadine Cummings both of Welsh, Aleisha Matthews and husband Rodney and Aleisa Jenkins and husband Ronald all of Houston, TX; one aunt, Clara Mae Lemell of Welsh; 30 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Pitre and Frances Cretchan Pitre Joseph; one sister, Anna Belle Thornton; and two grandchildren, Martin J. Cummings, Jr. and Marquetta Imani Cummings.

Her funeral will be at 11am Saturday, May 24, at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Barry Doucet will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30am until service time at the funeral home.
