Ethel was an active member at both Our Lady of Seven Dolors and St. Augustine Catholic Churches, including 37 years as a CCD teacher, a member of the altar societies and music ministry.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lula Boenig and husband Lennard, Patricia Stallings, Madeline Crader and Danny Bordelon and wife Christina; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Bordelon; daughter, Donna Romine; great grandchild, Jennifer Boenig; and numerous siblings.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Monday, September 1, 2025 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 until 9:45 a.m. when the procession leaves for the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Mausoleum in Basile, LA.
