She was born in Welsh, LA and resided in Houston, TX. She was a church secretary for many years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Henrietta Johnson of Houston, TX and her son, Glenn Sonnier and wife, Jennifer of Birmingham, AL as well as 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ceril and Hazel Cormier, and her husband, Wilfred Sonnier.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh. Dr. Bruce Northam will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
