I grew up with John. We played football together as Greyhounds. Even as a teen John loved to hunt. I remember him staying at our home to go duck hunting with my brother Bobby. John will be missed. Michelle, our prayers are with you and your family.

I remember Big John from my early days when I worked at Pat’s Steak House. John, Robert and I worked and hung out together in those early years. After those days we each pursued different careers and different life experiences that have left us with indelible marks and fond memories. Those early formative years will always be etched in my memories. You will be remembered Big John! RIP

My first memories of "Big John" are from Pat's Restaurant. He was a person "larger than life" with his caring heart and fun personality.

Memories include him hunting on the Derouen Farm, and always being grateful for the privilege. How he and Renee lost their trailer in the flood of May 1980, then rebuilt their "treehouse".

I'm grateful that I got reacquainted with both of them, in the football stands watching the Greyhounds.

RIP Big John, you will never be forgotten. May God bring comfort and peace to Renee and the rest of the Ramagos family.

Big John came into Cafe du Welsh almost everyday (sweet tea and the plate lunch) . He always picked on me but that was just his personality. I loved to pick back with him. He was one of my favorite customers. Prayers for the family.
