Larry James Derouen

Larry was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. He attended and tithed every Sunday until he became unable to attend. He loved trail riding as a member of W&L Riders of Lacassine, riding his tractor, bush hogging, shooting pool, dancing, and live Cajun music. He was full of life and quite funny.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Stella Ruth and Francis Joseph Derouen, sister, Shirley Derouen and his brother, Jerry Derouen.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shelly Brown and her husband, Jason; son Trevor Derouen; sweetheart, Renel Derouen; step-daughter, Monica Gauthreaux and her husband, Don; step-son, Tony Breaux; brother, Francis Derouen Jr. and his wife, Janelle; brother, Terry Derouen and his wife, Kathy; sister, Deborah Littleton; sister, Judy LaFonte; sister-in-law, Linda Derouen; grandchildren, Lacey Avis(Brody), Casey Jones (Teresa), Jesse Gauthreaux (Lauren), Corey Gauthreaux (Hillary), Aubree Dupuis (Seth), Donte' Gauthreaux, Brysen Ledoux, D'naye Rogers(Ryan), Brennon Breaux, Jasmine Miller (Cameron), and Laney LeDoux (Jude); great-grandchildren, Onyx, Remi, Tessa, Connor, Shade, Shephard, Paisley, Swayze, Presley, Everley, and Emerie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Thursday, November 13, 2025 beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of his Funeral Service beginning at Noon. Reverend Prabhakar Kowitiki Burial will follow in Lorraine Derouen Cemetery in Hayes.
