Amanda was a dedicated military wife, supporting her husband and family through numerous relocations during his 20 years of service in the Air Force. A devout Catholic, she was an active member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors and the Catholic Daughters. Amanda served as a Eucharistic Minister, lector, and choir member, and she was also a CCD teacher who led the Stations of the Cross. Her love for gardening and canning was well known, especially for her vinegar peppers, chow chow, and pepper jelly, which were cherished by many. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and generous heart.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jonas "Butch" Faust, Jr., Sarah Jolie and husband Karl and Mary Harrison; grandchildren, Autumn, Kassidy, Ronnie, Jessica, Jude, Michael, Braiden, Kellie, Brianna; and 14 great grandchildren; brother, Ronald Mier; and sisters, Loretta Myers and Debbie Wagner and husband Butch.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 60 years, Jonas Patrick "Doc" Faust, Sr.; daughter, Pearly Stebbins; sister, Clara Dronette.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Sunday, September 8, 2024 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the church mausoleum.
