Sonny was born October 31, 1940 and was a lifelong resident of Welsh and a graduate of Welsh High School in 1958. He also attended McNeese University.
Survivors include his wife; Shirley, children; Coeleen (Felix), Nicole, and Ross, granddaughters; Maegan (Kyle), Aubrie, and Shaylin, sister; Nita Marie (Larry) LeBlanc and sisters in law; Gail McBroom and Joyce Manuel. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and two sisters.
Visitation to be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with funeral service at 11:00 at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh, LA. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
