Patsy (Hornsby) Daigle, 82, of Welsh, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, F.H. "Buck" and June Hornsby on January 17, 1939. In her younger years she was an excellent basketball player. Patsy retired from AT&T after many years of service. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, crocheting, and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Chad Daigle (Nicole), Keith Daigle, both of Lacassine; one daughter, Natalie Fontenot (Doug) of Welsh; two brothers, Rodger Hornsby (Connie) of Lake Charles, Darrel Hornsby (Jean) of Welsh; one sister, Sherry McCown of Lacassine; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Daigle; and one daughter, Tina Daigle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00am, with Father Susil Fernando officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:15pm, led by the Catholic Daughters. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, from 8:00am until the procession to the church. Burial will follow at Lacassine Cemetery.
