Rachael Claire Vanicor

Rachael was born and raised in Welsh, LA. Her 19 years were filled with love and laughter; she was always surrounded by family, friends, children and her Zydeco music. She taught everyone whose lives she touched, what it really means to face adversity, how to fight the good fight and to never give up.

She is survived by her parents and best friends, Brian and Missy Vanicor; her maternal grandmother, Linda Robicheaux of Welsh; Aunts and Uncles, Dennis and Sheila Vanicor of Lake Charles, John and Carolyn Knepper of Sulphur, Gerald and Selena Bryant of Welsh, Lawrence and Allison Mier of Welsh, Jeanne "Cissy" Sims of Welsh, two brothers; Robbie and Jennifer Vanicor of Welsh, Ryan and Katie Vanicor of Welsh, three nephews; Kameron, Collin and Ramsey Vanicor, one niece, Kambrie Vanicor. She is also survived by a host of cousins, family, friends and her Godparents, Dennis Vanicor and Allison Mier.

Visitation will be Monday, September 29, 2014 from 3:00pm-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8:00am until Service.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Our Lady of Seven Delors Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery.
