I meet Shane and Brandy one night listening to Bryan Fontenot singing, I was sitting by them, and they starting talking to me, they were so nice to me, laughing and cutting up. They talked about their birthday bash they have every year. I do know his nickname was spidermonkey, and they are Bryan's close friend...
My thoughts and prayers are with Bryan and the family of Shane.
God bless,
Karen Denton

For a few years before Shane ever met my sister Stephanie, he was my roommate in Welsh and Lacassine. We had lots of good times together. There's lots of memories I have of Shane. However there's one particular memory that stands out and that was of one night I was getting home from work and I left my oldest son who was about 2 years old with Shane and his father to look after him. Little Jeff Gary III was spastic and running all over the house. When I walked into the dining room I found out why. His awesome Uncle Shane had took a whole package of Pixie Stix and cut every one of them open for the ones was eating of course, and poured them all out on a plate and was feeding it to him with a spoon! I will never forget the laughter and good times we shared with Shane! To my darling little niece Emily, this is probably one of the toughest times you will have to experience in your life you are so young to have to go through this type of grief and agony. Your cousins and I love you so much and if you ever are needing a shoulder to cry on or an open ear and heart you always have us to call. We love you so much! With deepest sympathies to the entire family, tearfully yours I am Adriane Gary.
