W. Keith Mayes

He was an avid hunter and had a great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan Fontenot Mayes of Welsh; daughters, Stephany Mayes and Katy Mayes both of Welsh; sister, Donna Mayes Meche and husband, Jeffery of Welsh; grandchildren, Madalyn Green, Will Green, Katelyn Cormier and Molly Fear all of Welsh; special nephew, Jeremy Grimes of Welsh and other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Jenny Mayes; grandparents, Mettie and Barney Cobb; son, Ryan Keith Mayes.

His service will be 2pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh. The Rev. Herbert May will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, 5pm-9pm with a rosary at 7pm and resume Friday, 8am until service time. Burial will in Lacassine Cemetery.
