Wilfred was a lifelong resident of Welsh, owner of Hebert Welding and Lumber and he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. He enjoyed rodeo, especially calf roping, camping and playing pool. Wilfred will be remembered as a hard working, honest, and generous man.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, LaVerne Hebert of Welsh; son, Wayne Hebert and wife Monica of Welsh; daughters, Lisa Richard and husband Kevin of Welsh and Yvonne Krielow and husband Chris of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Brooke Hebert Kennedy, Lance Hebert, Eric Krielow, Justin Krielow, and Josh Richard; eight great grandchildren; and a twin brother, Wilson Hebert of Welsh.
He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clifford Hebert, Nelson Hebert, Rodney Hebert, and Leroy Hebert; two sisters, Sister Henrietta Hebert and Dorothy Hebert Ardoin; and a grandson, Patrick Blanchard.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Burial will be immediately following at Oaklawn Cemetery.
