Adela Muniz

Adela Muniz, age 73, of Weslaco, Texas passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at McAllen Medical Center. Adela was born to Celedonio Martinez and Gertrudis Ramirez on April 28, 1948 in San Pedro Ranch, Texas.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Belia Rosas, Jose Guadalupe Muniz Jr. and Orlando (Norma) Muniz and her son in law Pedro Rosas. She will also be greatly missed by her siblings: Ramona Ramos, Juan Martinez, Valentin Martinez, Evangelina Vallejo, Santiaga Vallejo and Francisco Martinez. Survivors also include her beloved grandchildren: Pedro (Leslie G.) Jose Rosas, Fernando Rosas, Crystal (Oscar Zamora) Hilario, Isabella Adela Muniz, Orlando Joseph Muniz, Jose Guadalupe Muniz III, Isaiah Orlan Muniz and Sasha Muniz; great-grandchildren: Oliver Peter Rosas, Melinoe Lilith Rosas, Angel Hope Zamora, Evangelina Zamora, Michael Angelo Zamora and Enoch Zamora.

Adela was preceded in death her parents Celedonio Martinez and Gertrudis Ramirez, and her brother Cruz Martinez.

She was a mother like no other, she was a friend; always worried about everybody else. She knew just how to joke around with her grandchildren at their level of "weirdness". Her great-grandchildren knew just how much she loved and cared for them dearly.

Family will receive friends Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel - Highland, 6705 North FM 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 at 8:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel Highland with a burial following at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 North FM 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
