Alberto Valdez

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our youngest brother, Alberto. His passing was in his current residence of Ithaca, NY, where he made friends with many. Known for his enormous heart, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome in his life. A lifelong fan of Rock music, Albert found a kindred spirit in the hard hitting sounds that accompanied him through all his life’s highs and lows. He adored his cat “Tex”, who was his true companion and source of comfort. Above all, he was always ready to lend a helping hand, loved nature and loved everything “Texas” because home is where his heart was. He loved his mother, and now together in heaven, they will continue to watch over us. He will be missed by family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

Left to cherish his memory is his father Amado C. Valdez, his children Raquel Valdez and Derek E. Valdez, siblings Amado Valdez (Yolanda), Diana V. Reyes (Roberto), Ivonne Escamilla (Hector), Graciela Rodriguez (†George), Leticia Yañez (Edward), Armando Valdez (Sylvia) and Tami Bhadai (Rajpaul); As well as grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alberto is now reunited with his mom Viola V. Valdez, his sister Belinda Valdez and both Paternal and Maternal grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 12:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, with a burial of ashes at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park.
