Antonio Cruz

Antonio "Tone" Cruz passed away on January 23, 2026, in Weslaco, Texas, at the age of 74. He was born on July 21, 1951, and lived a life rooted in love for his family, simple joys, and thoughtful traditions.

Antonio is survived by his beloved spouse, Eva Cruz, and his children: Jessica Cruz (Eliab Perales), Jeanette Cruz, Maria Cruz, Vanessa Cruz, and Erasmo Galvan (Araceli Galvan). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Anthony Cruz, Evelynn Perales, Heavenly Perales, Isaiah Cruz, Jackie Aguilar, Zuli Aguilar, and Evani Galvan, each of whom brought him immense happiness.

Family meant everything to Antonio. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and found joy in the everyday moments—walking around the block with his faithful dog, Brownie, sitting outside in his favorite chair scratching lottery tickets, and making sure no birthday ever went unremembered. His thoughtfulness, routine, and quiet humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Antonio will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his devotion to family, his gentle presence, and the simple traditions that made him who he was.

A formal and respectful farewell will be held at Funeraria del Angel Highland, located at 6705 FM 88, Weslaco, TX, 78599. The visitation will take place on January 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with the rosary at 7:00 pm.

The chapel service is scheduled for January 30, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by the burial at Highland Memorial Park, also at 6705 FM 88, Weslaco, TX, 78599, at 2:00 pm.
