Dolores Villanueva

Dolores Villanueva, of Mercedes, Texas passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 94 on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raul Villanueva Sr., her parents and daughter, Cruz Zepeda.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Maria Evelia Trejo, Isabel Cristina Garcia, Raul Villanueva Jr., Elizabeth Galvez, Rosaelia Villanueva, Diana Guadalupe Villanueva and Maria Dolores Martinez. She will also be greatly missed by 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Dolores was an amazing Lady. The love that she had for her husband and children was to admire. Always making sure everything was ready for her family when they arrived from work. She had a full and happy life and was blessed to see not only grandchildren but great great grandkids. She loved to watch and argue with her Novelas, going to bingo with her husband and friends. Lolita was a happy person laughed way to much at what her grandkids would do. She loved to tell stories to her grandkids when they would stay over, looking at stars and talking about her good old days. Always looking her best like the Diva that she was! She will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Dolores will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM till midnight with Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78596. Visitation will continue Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 8:00 AM. A chapel service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM, followed by the interment at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, TX 78596.
