Don was a hardworking man who spent many years as a truck driver. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the open road, but above all, he cherished the time he spent with the people he loved. Family and friendship meant the world to him, and he was happiest surrounded by those who cared for him.
One of Don’s favorite pastimes was barbecuing. He loved gathering with friends and family, sharing good food, stories, laughter, and making memories that will be treasured forever. His warm personality and love for those around him especially his nieces and nephews made every gathering special.
Don was a powerhouse who, just like his favorite color yellow was always bold, unapologetic, and backed up by an infectious smile and laugh. He brought a fierce, unshakable energy into every room he walked into, completely changing the room’s vibe. He doubled down on it by tearing up the asphalt in his ’70 Chevy Truck with “Mellow Yellow” blasted across the tailgate. It was a bold look, but that was just Don, and that image will always put a grin on the faces of everyone who knew him.
Donaciano is survived by his three beloved children: Jenny Garza, Donaciano Garza III, Jacob Garza, and his grandchildren who will carry his memory and love in their hearts.
He is also survived by his loving siblings, who cared deeply for him and shared a lifetime of memories with him: Melba (Juan) Pedraza, Ramiro (Maria Elvia) Garza, Marissa (Rogelio) Berrones, and Juan Jose (Marisa) Garza. As well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donaciano “Chano” Garza and Aurora C. Garza.
Though Donaciano’s journey on this earth has come to an end, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the laughter he shared will live on through his children, siblings, family, and friends. His love of family, his passion for a good barbecue, his time spent with friends, and even the sight of a yellow truck will forever remind those who loved him of the man he was.
