Elida Jones

She was the oldest of eight children. Elida married Paul Jones in 1978, and they spent 42 years raising a family and building a legacy until his passing. Her love for her husband and children came second only to her love for God. She was a pillar for her family through every high and low and was always ready to offer words of wisdom and prayer when her children needed it.

Elida always had an opinion, and she was never afraid to speak her mind because she always had her family’s best interest at heart. Elida was a down-to-earth woman who enjoyed the simple things in life and was unconcerned with material possessions.

One of her favorite things to do was to sit outside in a rocking chair on her front porch and watch her grandchildren play. She and Paul started every morning by drinking coffee together at their dining table. Their life and relationship were not perfect, but their love for each other was deep and unconditional. It was their love for God and each other that built a strong foundation for their family to flourish. In her final days, Elida was surrounded by family and loved ones. She will be remembered as a loving wife, supportive mother, and doting grandma. Even though she is no longer with us and her absence hurts, our faith gives us comfort knowing we will be reunited with her again in Heaven. Her memory and the values she cultivated in her family will be carried in the hearts of those she loved.

A visitation for Elida will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM with a chapel service at 12:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, followed by the burial at Highland Memorial Park.
