Elizabeth “Lisa” Reynoso was born April 9, 1966, in Weslaco, Tx. Raised in Weslaco, she graduated from Weslaco High School in 1984 and would go on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Masters in both School Administration and Counseling from the University of Texas Pan American. A tireless educator, she taught for several years before becoming a counselor and finished her career as an Assistant Principal at McAllen ISD. She extended that same fearless spirit as an advocate, founding an amputee support group in the Rio Grande Valley that met monthly in order to educate and assist in finding resources for her fellow amputees. Lisa cared deeply for her family and loved traveling to see them in Scottsbluff and North Platte, Nebraska and Chicago, Illinois and she was always ready to spend time with two generations of her nieces and nephews.
"Lisa" is survived by her siblings, Maria (Rolando) Peña, Enrique (Monica) Reynoso, sister in law Mary Lou, her nieces and nephews Myrna Davila, Rolinda Park, Paul Erik Reynoso, Joey Peña, Michael Peña, Christina Gonzalez, Cassandra Benitez, Priscilla Dominguez, Crystal Ramirez, Stacy Garza, Jaime Vergil, Kelsey Vergil-Molina, Levi Solis, Daniel Solis, Enrique Reynoso, Jr., Ana Chapa, Pablo Nicolas Reynoso, Manuel Emilio Reynoso and numerous beloved grand-nieces and nephews.
"Lisa" is now reunited with her parents Josefina Sepulveda and Pablo Reynoso, and her siblings Francisco Reynoso, Socorro Vergil, Martha Whipple, and Paulo Reynoso.
Visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Thursday, August 15 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Funeral Home, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, Texas 78599. Visitation will continue Friday, August 16 from 8:00, a Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, followed by the interment at Highland Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.
