Born on November 28, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, Eugenio lived a full and joyful life defined by love, laughter, and hard work. He retired after an incredible 35-year career with LTV, Vought Corporation, and Lockheed Martin, where he took great pride in his work and contributions. His commitment, dedication, and integrity were evident in everything he did.
Eugenio was known for his big heart, playful spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He was a proud and devoted father to his nine children: sons Enrique Hinojosa (Sofia), Eduardo Hinojosa (Ashley), Alejandro Hinojosa, and Michael Hinojosa (Dora); and daughters Dora Hinojosa, Gloria Hinojosa (Polo), Yolanda Arenivaz (Jose), Norma Hinojosa, Stephanie Hinojosa (Samuel), Victoria Hinojosa and his brother, Ricardo Hinojosa. His legacy lives on through his 30 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished deeply.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Raquel Hinojosa, his son, Eugenio Hinojosa Jr., his mother: Lala Hinojosa and brother, Ruben Hinojosa whom he now joins in eternal rest.
Eugenio brought joy to every room he entered. Always a jokester, he loved to make people laugh and had a contagious smile that brightened everyone’s day. He found happiness in simple pleasures—taking long walks around the neighborhood, watching classic westerns, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and reminiscing on the front porch while listening to music.
Some of his fondest memories were made skating with his children when they were young and gathering with family for cookouts and celebrations. His warmth and humor created a home filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.
Eugenio Hinojosa Sr. will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life with gratitude. His absence leaves a profound void, but his memory, stories, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed, and forever loved.
