Gilberto is survived by his son Roy G Montalvo (Dalia); his daughter Olga Gonzalez (Oscar †); his daughter Dolores Gonzales (Roy); his daughter Ninfa De La Garza (Eusebio); his daughter Elva N Silva (Ramiro); his daughter Yolanda Herrald (Roger †); and his son Hector Montalvo (Rebecca).

Gilberto was preceded in death by his spouse Ambrosia Montalvo; his son Armando Gonzalez (Yolanda).

A visitation for Gilberto will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home., 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A rosary will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Saint Theresa Of Infant Jesus Church, 200 Salazar St, Edcouch, TX. A burial will occur Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
