God looked around his garden,
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
for He always takes the best.
He saw your road is getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb.
So, he closed your weary eyes,
And whispered, "Peace be Thine."
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
A part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

Acknowledgements
Perhaps you sent a lovely card,
or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers
that we saw sitting there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words,
as any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all,
just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
We thank you so much for whatever part.
