November 3, 1963 – August 19, 2026
Gustavo Blanco, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on November 3, 1963, in Mercedes, Texas, Gustavo spent most of his life in Weslaco, Texas, where he built a life centered around his family, hard work, generosity, and love for others.
Gustavo was a man with one of the biggest hearts. He was a loving father and grandfather, a devoted son and brother, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a gift for making sure the people around him were taken care of. If someone needed something, Gustavo would do everything he could to help. He wanted to give everyone everything he could, often putting the needs of others before his own.
For 47 years, Gustavo dedicated himself to his work as a supervisor at L&G Concrete, where his years of hard work and dedication became an important part of the life he built for his family. He took great pride in working hard and providing for the people he loved.
Outside of work, Gustavo enjoyed hunting, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his family. The memories made around family gatherings, the stories shared, and the time spent together will remain treasured by those who knew and loved him.
Gustavo is survived by his loving partner, Dolores Perez Boughton, and his daughters: Melissa Marie Martinez (Jeremy), Clarissa Marie Reyes (Eric), and Bryanna Marie Blanco Marquez (Ricardo). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jose David Silva Jr., Kostus King Martinez, Destiny Martinez, Eric Reyes Jr., Daniel Reyes, Natalie Reyes, Ander Luca Marquez, Arjen Milan Marquez and his great-grandson, Koa Silva.
He is also survived by his mother, Elisa Blanco; his brothers and sisters, Jose Luis Blanco (Angelique), Clemente Pedro Blanco, Mary Blanco Roan, Martin Blanco (Noemi), and Amparo Garza (Roel) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Clemente Blanco, and his beloved sister, Connie Mueller.
Gustavo leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, hard work, and family. His greatest gift was the way he cared for others. He never hesitated to help, never wanted anyone to go without, and gave so much of himself to the people he loved.
His family will forever carry his memory in their hearts—in the lessons he taught them, the stories they share, the traditions they continue, and the love he gave so freely.
Rest peacefully, Daddy, “I love you un chingos.”. You gave so much love to everyone around you. You will be missed more than words can ever express, and you will be loved forever.
