Irene is survived by her children Roberto Estevanes Jr. (Kim), Rene Estevanes (Charlotte), Ricardo Estevanes, Patricia Cardona (Darrell), Teresa Estevanes and Maria Strickland (A.U.). She is also survived by her brothers Fortunato Jr., Juan, Manuel, Felix, Alfredo and Fabian Morquecho; sisters Gloria de Santiago, Jo Botello, Anita Reyes, Ida Bleaker, Celia Solis and Christina Fletcher and her sister in law Kathy Morquecho. She also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Irene is now reunited with her loving husband, Roberto Mata Estevanes Sr., her parents Maria & Fortunato Morquecho Sr. and her brother James Morquecho.
Visitation for Irene will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Eulogy at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A graveside will occur Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
