Irene Cecilia Gaitan, a precious daughter, granddaughter, niece, and beloved child, was born on May 31, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She peacefully passed away on August 7, 2026, in Corpus Christi, leaving behind a love that will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
Though her time on this earth was brief, Irene touched the lives of everyone who loved her. From the moment she entered this world, she was deeply loved, cherished, and adored. She was Mommy and Daddy’s fighter and warrior, showing a strength that inspired everyone around her.
Irene is survived by her loving parents, Sergio and Deborah Gaitan, who loved and adored her beyond words. She also leaves behind her paternal grandparents, Joel and Rosa Gaitan; her maternal grandparents, Carlos and Noelia Moreno; her uncles, Sebastian Gaitan and Ricardo Moreno; and her great-grandmother, Rosa Perez.
Irene may have been with her family for only a short time, but she made a lifetime’s worth of memories in their hearts. Her tiny hands, beautiful presence, sweet expressions, and courageous spirit will forever be treasured. She will always be Mommy and Daddy’s precious baby girl, their fighter, their warrior, and their angel.
Funeral services for Irene Cecilia Gaitan have been entrusted to Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas. The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support extended to them during this difficult time.
