It’s difficult to Word out how much you meant to me and how I saw you as a role model in my life. Growing up you were there for me and showed me many things in life. You impacted many lives including my own. Thank you for your laughs, hugs and consejos. I was blessed to have you in my life. Although your time was cut short I know you’re in a better place. I know we will all be reunited one day. Through you I learned what kind of man I want to be and hope I can be half the man you were. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again. I love u tio

This is so hard for me. My best memory is when we were in Mami's livingroom & I was teaching you all to dance Tejano. You, Ruben, Raul, & Richard. We would laugh so hard when you all could not catch the steps! I admire how you would listen attentively to Crystal telling you about her anime and her drawings. I knew you didn't understand much about it, but you did not show her that. She always wanted to go visit you all because she was always made to feel special. I still can't accept the fact that you're gone from our lives. I can not & will not question God as to WHY?😭. We are so heartbroken because you were that type of person who was very charismatic. Now you sit at the right hand of Our Father, Our Lord, Our God. You are watching over your family as you did while here on earth. You left your legacy. You will be sadly missed but never, ever forgotten.

Jesse you were first my classmate, then my best friend. We shared on all kinds of laughter. We shared in all kinds of adventures including borrowing your dad’s truck and pointing the finger as to who got it muddy. You would point your finger to me and I would say it was Jesse. We threw each other under the bus! Even when you had a big bump on your forehead we could not stop laughing. Then you became my brother in law. I could of never wished for a better man for my sister Dora. A better father for my nieces Anessa, Alyssa and nephew Jesse Jr. , and a grandpa to Nolan. You beamed with joy when you were with them. Take care of them and always be their guardian angel and stay by their side in spirit. We will forever miss you. You are in a better place, taking a run through the streets of gold. Until we meet again. I love you buddy! Go with God!

My Tio had a great life. He was loved, cherished and celebrated because he was an amazing man with an amazing soul. I love the way he always encouraged me and loved me. I didn't always make the best decisions when I was young but he always talked to me about being good and how he was there me. He always encouraged me to play sports and run even though I was a chubby bunny with no basketball experience. He made me feel like I could do anything. I know he's cheering us all on from heaven and I find comfort in that this isn't goodbye, but a until we meet again.

Our sincerest condolences Dora and the entire family. Our hearts are saddened by the passing of Jesse, we will always remember our many talks throughout the past 30 + years. George and I both had the privilege of working with Jesse for many years, and he will always be remembered by his smile and how much he liked to talk (all about his family, something we all had in common). I remember how he and George had so much in common, such as he loved running and so does George, he would go a million miles if he had to for his family and so will George, he was so proud of his family and loved them to the fullest. We will hold all those wonderful memories in our hearts; we pray that God gives you peace and comfort during these very difficult times.

Tio Jesse always had the brightest smile. His entire face would light up when he would tell a story about someone in his family. He was a role model who led by example with a kind and gentle demeanor. Tio you made a positive impact on so many lives and you will always live in all of our hearts. We love you.

The Running Rebels was something special that I know Coach really enjoyed and cared about. He taught us a lot more than basketball and often times we were playing during our regular season sports as well. Tournaments just like this always hold a special place for me as it was some of the most fun adventures I had growing up. My best friends and family and a coach that always wanted the best for us! Rest In Peace Mr. Marquez and thank you for all the memories! God bless.
