

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Maria de Jesus Ramirez, his children Maria (Farron) Tidwell, Angel (Aaron) Mobley, Carmen (Michael) Gantt, Carlos Javier (Rita) Ramirez and Cynthia (Valente Trevino) Ramirez. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danelly, Jade, Valentito, Brandon, Sebastian, Kristy, Brittany, Candice, Scotty, Trenton, Kelli, Dalton, and Laci and 9 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind his siblings Carlos (Lydia†) Ramirez, Frank (Mary) Ramirez, Lupe (Charlotte) Ramirez, Roberto (Josie) Ramirez, Ramiro (Olga) Ramirez, Sandy (Rogelio) Jaimes, Perla (David Coronado) Ramirez, Rene (Brenda) Ramirez, and Juan Ramirez.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents Carlos S. Ramirez and Maria Guadalupe Ramirez, his sister Ester (Tomas†) Anzaldua and his paternal grandparents Francisco and Ester Ramirez and his maternal grandparents Guadalupe and Emilia Galvan.
Jose loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, doing landscaping work but most of all, reading his bible before bed. He was very family oriented, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a very humble, caring and quiet man. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by many, and will always live in our hearts.
A visitation for Jose will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A church service will occur Friday, March 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart in Elsa, followed by the interment at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, Weslaco, Texas 78596.
