Chepita was a very compassionate, loving person who was loved by many and loved deeply. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She had an "open door" policy and welcomed everyone with open arms. Her favorite things to do were play bingo, cook, crochet and fish.
Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Cruz Serna, parents Feliberto Cavazos and Luisa Zamora, brothers- Santos, Ignacio, Jose Julian, Chris and sisters- Cruz, Lola Virginia and Simplicia.
Visitation Services for Chepita will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Highland Funeral Home (6705 N. FM 88 Weslaco, Texas) with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Progreso, Texas followed with the Interment at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers are Christopher Tucker, Jonathan Tucker, RC Diaz, Daniela Diaz, Sabrina Vento, and Brandon Vento. Honorary Pallbearers Leo Tucker, and Ruben Diaz.
