Joshua was born on November 25, 1975, in Hereford, Texas, to Merced Gomez Salinas and Amelia Herrera Salinas. He made his home in Donna, Texas, where he was known for his kind heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and generous spirit.
Above all, Joshua was a loving and dedicated father whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, especially creating cherished memories with his daughter. He treasured every moment with his family and took great pride in watching his children grow. He also found happiness in the outdoors, enjoying fishing, watching sports, and sharing life's simple pleasures with those he loved.
Professionally, Joshua dedicated many years to property management, serving in supervisory roles in communities including Austin and Corpus Christi. His strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
A man of deep faith, Joshua was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna and faithfully served on the ACTS Retreat Team. His willingness to serve others and strengthen the faith of those around him reflected the compassion and love he carried in his heart.
Joshua leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He is lovingly survived by his children, Joshua Jayden Gomez, Andrew Jacob Salinas, and Maya Michelle Salinas; his cherished grandson, Michael Jayden Gomez; his devoted parents, Amelia Herrera Salinas and Merced Gomez Salinas; and his loving siblings, Merced Salinas Jr and Maribel Salinas, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will deeply miss his presence.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Gregoria Muñiz Herrera, Bolivar Herrera, Eusebio Salinas, and Maria Ramona Gomez Salinas.
Joshua will be remembered for his caring heart, his steadfast faith, his dedication to his family, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his love, kindness, and the countless memories he created will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
May the Lord grant Joshua eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in the peace of Christ forever. Amen.
