Juan Alberto Contreras Avalos, 62, left to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Juan was born to Juan Jose & Consuelo Contreras Avalos in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on March 8, 1961. He is now reunited with his father, Juan Jose Contreras and brother Javier Contreras who have preceded him in death.
Juan Alberto was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his family and singing Karaoke. Juan was a die hard fan of Wrestling. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Rosalinda Juanita Galvan Contreras and his children: Marivel Galvan Cavazos, Angelica Contreras Elissetche, Juan Alberto Contreras Jr and Israel Contreras. He will also be greatly missed by his mother, Consuelo Contreras; siblings: Rosa Rodriguez, Irma Contreras, Ramiro Contreras, Juan Jose Contreras Jr, Lydia Esquivel, Amelia Contreras; grandchildren: Rene Elissetche III, Johnathon Javier Elissetche, Itzel Isa Elissetche, Jesus Eduardo Elissetche Jr, Adrian Sky Elissetche, Vanessa Elissetche, Kassandra Evelyn Elissetche, Kennedy Contreras, Kiley Contreras, Emily Rose Contreras, Aiden Isaiah Contreras, Gavin Nathaniel Contreras and Noah Dominic Contreras.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2 pm to midnight with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2
pm at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.
