Maria C. Ortega Mireles (Conchita) took pride in what was hers. Her children, family and farm roots. She had a love for animals and a skill for naming her farm animals. Mom was a nurse within, ready to care for those around her before herself. She was also a prayer warrior and loved coffee. Mom was very generous and quick to tend a hand to those in need. She was brave,courageous, tenacious and one of a kind women!
Maria C. is survived by her husband, Albino Mireles; her children Jose Eloy (Annette) Mireles; Serjio Hugo Mireles (Maria Del Rosario), Joel Mireles ( Laura); Alma S. Mireles; Edna Medina (Armando); San Juanita E. Silguero (Luis); and her brother Ramiro Ortega Sr. 33 gran
Maria C. was preceded in death by her parents Ernesto Ortega and Cayetana Lopez; her brothers Parisimo Concepcion Ortega; Manuel Ortega Sr; Jose Guadalupe Ortega; Jose Angel Gil Ortega; and sisters Maria Ortega, Josefina Ortega Trevino. She was blessed to have 33 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Maria C. will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Highland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78596. A rosary will occur Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at San Martin De Porras Catholic Church, Weslaco, TX. A burial at Highland Memorial Park will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
