Maria Guadalupe de la Rosa
April 16, 1927 – January 21, 2023

Maria Guadalupe de la Rosa, 95, left to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at her residence in Weslaco. Maria was born to Donato and Amalia de la Rosa on April 16, 1927 in Weslaco, Texas.
She is now reunited with her parents; her son, Pedro Alonzo Gonzalez; siblings: Lala Hinojosa, Manuel de la Rosa, Ricardo de la Rosa and Cirildo de la Rosa, who have preceded her in death.
She was devoted Catholic woman that lived to provide for her family. Guadalupe was hard working and very friendly. She would have open conversations with anyone. Her passion was dancing, listening to music and enjoying life. She collected figurines. She was loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Rafaela (Ruben) Rivera and San Juanita (†Martin H) Gonzalez. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Pedro (Veronica Turrubiates) Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez, Diana Gonzalez, Cynthia Rios, Veronica (†Leonardo T) Rivera, Jennifer Jeanette Gonzalez, Martin (Crystal Miller) Gonzalez Jr. and Esmeralda Marie Gonzalez. Survivors also include her great-grandchildren: Karissa Janelle Ybarra, Rebecca Hailey de Luna, Juan Martin de Luna, Valerie de Luna and Kaleb Martin Gonzalez.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 3 pm to 10 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, January 27, 2023 at Funeraria del Angel Highland in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria del Angel Highland of Weslaco.
