Maria Gamez de Camacho

Maria retired as a CNA (loved working with elderly at nursing homes), loved to dance, drink micheladas, cooking and trying new recipes, travelling and enjoyed driving new trucks.

Survived by her children Ana Rodriguez (Miguel Rodriguez), Margarita Rios (Josue Rios), Araceli Rodriguez (Florentino Rodriguez), Raul Camacho Jr. (Darlene Delgado), Maria Gutierrez (Rolando Gutierrez Jr.), her siblings Severa Gamez De Alvarado, Consuelo Martinez, Guadalupe Gamez and Adela Gamez, her grandchildren, Andrea Oranday (Troy Oranday) , Bryanna Altamirano, Ana Destiny Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez Jr., Hannah Rodriguez, Analea Rodriguez, Jonathan Rios, Jacob Rios, Jeremiah Rodriguez, Abigail Rodriguez, and a great grandchild Troy Oranday Jr.

Preceded in death by her husband Raul Camacho, and her siblings Federico Gamez, Monica Gamez De Becerra, Matilde Gamez de Cerda and Jose Gamez Jr..

A two day visitation for Mrs. Camacho will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 and September 8, 2023 both overnight at Funeraria del Angel Highland, 6705 North Fm 88, Weslaco, Texas 78599. A rosary will occur Friday, September 8, 2023 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Joan Of Arc Catholic Church, 109 S. Illinois Ave, Weslaco, TX, followed by the interment at 11:00 AM at Highland Memorial Park, 6705 N. FM 88, Weslaco, TX 78599.
