Maria was born on July 4, 1967, in San Juan, Texas, to Leobardo Hernandez and Alicia Jalomo. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family, creating countless memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Lucio Jesus (Ashley D.) Martinez Jr. and Jeanette Martinez; her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn D. Martinez, Alexa J. Martinez, Jessanae J. Martinez, and Amari J. Martinez, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving mother, Alicia Jalomo; siblings, Leo Hernandez, Alicia Rangel, Letty Randle, Carina Jalomo, and Hector Hernandez, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Maria found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, enjoying her favorite Coca-Cola, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was a devoted fan of The Walking Dead and enjoyed watching sports and movies with family and friends. Maria always took pride in her appearance, never missing an opportunity to have her eyebrows done or add another beautiful purse to her collection. Some of her most treasured moments were spent surrounded by loved ones at family BBQs, sharing laughter, stories, and creating lasting memories.
Maria's warm heart, vibrant spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, kindness, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Maria has been welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord and reunited with those who have gone before her. Her legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
